Valet Car Wash is a growing, multi-service automotive care company operating 11 locations across Ontario, Canada. A single Valet site isn’t just a car wash — it may also include a gas bar and a fast lube shop, all running simultaneously. That complexity matters. Each service line brings its own safety risks, chemical exposure, PPE requirements, and regulatory obligations.

For Valet’s leadership team, training isn’t just about consistency or customer experience — it’s a legal responsibility. Ontario employers must comply with a layered set of regulations including OHSA, WHMIS, AODA, the Working for Workers Act, WSIB, and the Ontario Ministry of Labour, all of which require documented training, policy acknowledgment and recurring refreshes.

Valet already believed in training. The challenge was proving compliance at scale — eliminating paper-based tracking and providing consistency between sites, with the capability to monitor employee progress and compliance in real time.

The Challenge

As the business grew, compliance documentation became harder to manage. Training was happening, but records were fragmented. Policy acknowledgements lived in shared drives or paper files. Annual refreshes required manual follow-up. And audit readiness depended on chasing down documentation after the fact.

The goal wasn’t more training — it was making compliance trackable, repeatable and defensible, without adding operational drag.

The LEAD Solution

In October 2025, Valet partnered with LEAD to centralize all compliance and safety training in one mobile-first system. Compliance was embedded directly into daily operations: employees access training on their phones, on the job. Content is tailored by role, service line and location. Knowledge checks and policy sign-offs are built in. Completion records and certificates are generated automatically.

LEAD became Valet’s single source of truth for compliance training — covering WHMIS hazardous materials training, AODA accessibility requirements, OHSA-aligned safety training, and Working for Workers Act policy acknowledgements including Right to Disconnect and Electronic Monitoring — with an emphasis on health and safety, including in-house policies and procedures.

All completions are documented within the platform, creating audit-ready records without manual tracking. Certificates are year-stamped, clearly showing when training occurred and when it was refreshed.

Valet’s program reflects how the business actually operates. Location-specific PPE guides and site maps ensure employees learn about their workplace, not a generic one. Role- and season-based uniform standards, safety communications addressing cold and heat exposure, and easy access to employment documents and policies all live within the platform.

Rather than rebuilding training every year, Valet structured compliance as an annual cycle. Core safety and policy training refreshes automatically. Certificates are re-issued annually with updated timestamps. This approach reduces administrative overhead while increasing confidence that requirements are being met consistently.
